I'm Jodie, and I'd like to introduce myself as both a devoted pet parent and a passionate dog trainer.
My furry family consists of Gizmo, my loyal companion for nearly seven years, our rescue pup Koba, and, of course, I can't forget to mention the dog that started it all, Bear. I'm also a parent to a wonderful human (she insists on being acknowledged too!)
My journey into dog training began when I welcomed Gizmo into my life all those years ago, but it was when Bear joined our family in 2017 that my passion for dog training truly took hold.
From the moment we brought Bear home, it became evident that he faced significant behavioural challenges.
We sought the guidance of talented behaviourists, hoping to find a solution, but despite their expertise, we couldn't achieve the desired progress. It became clear that Bear required more specialised care, including medication, and after persevering, we were fortunate to secure a referral to a remarkable veterinary behaviourist at the Royal Veterinary College.
The transformation we witnessed in Bear's behaviour was astounding and served as a turning point in my own journey.
That experience sparked my deep interest in dog behaviour and ignited a desire to assist both pet parents and their beloved dogs.
I find great fulfilment in fostering strong relationships between dogs and their humans by offering insights into the world from a dog's unique perspective.
My goal is to provide support and guidance to fellow pet parents, helping them understand their dogs' behaviours and facilitating a harmonious and fulfilling bond.
“Jodie was invaluable in helping me improve my chihuahua Stavros’s recall. He was 6 months when we came across Jodie and he wouldn’t even come to me when I called his name (after 2 months!). Having had bigger dogs (working breeds) years before, I considered myself an experienced dog owner and was astounded by my adorable pup’s resistance to any kind of training which had worked seamlessly with his predecessors.
Jodie was kind, patient and understanding and helped tweak my existing training knowledge. Most importantly, she made me aware of all the little things which were confusing him and hindering his progress. So, you could say that Jodie trained me rather than my chihuahua. With 99.9% of dogs’ behavioural issues being down to humans’ ignorance - that’s exactly what you want in your trainer. I would wholeheartedly recommend Jodie, no matter the size or breed of your furry friend.”

“We had the absolute pleasure of working with Jodie when she helped us with some training for our Cavapoo puppy, Mila. From the very beginning I had no doubt Mila was in fantastic hands as not only was Jodie extremely professional and knowledgeable, I could tell first-hand how much she adores dogs and we knew Mila was in the very best hands. Over a very short period Jodie taught us and Mila some invaluable lessons, including the “touch” cue to help distract from unwanted barking, loose lead walking and how to manage Mila getting overstimulated on walks and around tennis balls! We still use the lessons she taught us every day. Above all, Jodie is absolutely lovely and we would recommend her to anyone.”

“Jodie was brilliant with Pablo and after doing the course, we felt so much more confident with all of the basic skills that Pablo has used ever since.
Jodie clearly loves what she does which makes her classes so enjoyable. Pablo loved her!”
